Daniel J. Seehafer

Administrative Pastor

Daniel J Seehafer was born in Merrill, Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Wisconsin in 1993, and his Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1997. As part of Concordia’s global education program, he had the opportunity to travel and visit the Holy Land. He also studied in Tallinn, Estonia. His two years of field work were at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Decatur, Indiana. He served his vicarage year at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Daniel started as Assistant Pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Horicon, Wisconsin, in August 1997. On October 22, 2000, Pastor Seehafer was installed as the Administrative Pastor.

Joel grew up in Western New York (Buffalo & Niagara Falls) and attended Concordia College in Bronxville, New York, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Education/Social Studies. After graduation, Mr. Bahr served 10 years as teacher and athletic director at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School in Mount Vernon, New York, with the final six years serving also as principal. Joel served as principal of St. John Lutheran Church & School in South Euclid, Ohio for 15 years and at St. Mark Lutheran Church & School in Kentwood, Michigan for 13 years before joining the ministry team here at St. Stephen. Graduate work has been completed at both Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio and Concordia University, Wisconsin. Over the years, Mr. Bahr has also served on a number of boards and committees in church and school ministry. Joel and his wife, Donna, have been blessed with four children, and seven grandchildren. In his leisure time, Joel enjoys being with family, sports, reading, and biking.

Lisa was born and raised in Milwaukee. She graduated from Concordia University – Wisconsin in 1986 with a Bachelor Arts degree in Elementary Education, minoring in Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining the faculty at St. Stephen, Lisa was responsible for the start-up, directing, and teaching of several early childhood program in the South Wisconsin and English Districts of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Lisa and her husband, Peter, live in Slinger and have been married for 32 years. They have been blessed with 2 children, Sarah and Andrew, a son-in-law, Wade, and 2 grandchildren, Arianna and Brayden. Lisa cherishes time spent with her family, especially at their cottage on Beaver Dam Lake. She also enjoys sewing, arts and crafts, and watching h er children ski with the Beaverland Must-skis Waterski Show Team.

Stacey has taught for a number of years at St. Stephen Lutheran School. Prior to teaching kindergarten, she has taught preschool and 7th grade. “I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to teach with such wonderful colleagues and students.” Stacey graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She also has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in early childhood. Stacey has 2 children, Madelynn and Lukkas, who attend St. Stephen. In her free time she loves attending Brewer games, reading, running, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Janelle grew up outside of West Bend, Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University, Wisconsin in 1992. She taught and was director of Trinity’s Little Lambs Preschool and in the afternoon she taught first and second grade at Zion Lutheran School both in Herscher, Illinois. Her teaching experience spans preschool through Grade 4. In June 2008 she and her children moved back to Wisconsin to join her husband, Mark, who moved back to Wisconsin at the end of January 2008 to serve as Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She and her husband have 3 children, Kaitlyn, Aaron and Makayla. Janelle began teaching at St. Stephen in August of 2008 and teaches 1st Grade. Janelle and her husband, Mark and children Kaitlyn, Aaron and Makayla live in Beaver Dam.

Amy was born and raised in Crown, Minnesota. She attended Concordia College, Minnesota where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education in 1997. She taught Kindergarten for one year in Duluth, Minnesota before moving to Horicon to teach 2nd Grade at St. Stephen. In 2005 Amy earned her Master’s of Education from Concordia University, Wisconsin. When she is not busy at school Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, crocheting, working logic puzzles, and learning how to do all sorts of farm chores. Amy began teaching at St. Stephen in 1997 and teaches 2nd Grade and 1st and 2nd Grade Social Studies. In addition to teaching Amy is the NJHS Advisor and the school librarian. Amy and her husband, Keith, live in Oak Grove on his family farm.

Beth attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Brookfield, Milwaukee Lutheran High School, and Concordia University-Mequon. After graduating, she taught in California for 3 years and Illinois for 4 years. She has been teaching 3rd grade at St. Stephen since 2004. Her husband, Dave, is the principal at Living Word Lutheran High School in Jackson. They have two children, Riley and Cade. They live with their yellow lab and 2 cats in Iron Ridge.

Aaron was raised in the Milwaukee area and attended Hales Corners Lutheran Elementary School and Martin Luther High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago in 2014. He taught first grade at St. Paul Lutheran in Saint Joseph, Missouri for three years and First Grade at St. Peter Lutheran in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a year and a half. Aaron is excited to be back in Wisconsin where he can spend time with his family. In his free time, Aaron enjoys playing board games and participating in athletic activities such as basketball and Ultimate Frisbee. Aaron is very excited to be a part of the St. Stephen’s Family.
